I wouldn't worry about being billed, over many years of travel I've heard from people who take offense and throw any type of religious 'literature' in the garbage can as soon as they see it. They've never said they were billed, but perhaps others here can share their experiences?
I have never been billed. Its the first thing I look at when entering a (Marriott) hotel room. Have not seen many, (maybe not any at all) in Starwood or Hilton hotels at all..
