I believe what the poster was referring to was not the CRJ705 flights - whose CASM is probably lower than a mainline A319 but rather the Dash 8-100 (and many 300) flights into the boonies where AC often charges more than for a transcontinental journey.

Ever looked at the cost to fly to Val d'Or, Bagotville or Bathurst?
