I know that we are supposed to get to the airport 2 hours in advance for domestic flights and 3 hours in advance for international flights. I am trying to figure out when to get to the airport? The trip will take two flights on the same airline on the same ticket. The first flight is from DCA-DFW which leaves at 7 a.m., then DFW-HKG about 1.5 hours later.
1. What time should we arrive at the airport DCA (is this considered to be a domestic or international flight)?
2. What takes longer at an international flight in terms of check-in?
