Somewhere within the last six months or so I noticed housekeeping in a Marriott replacing Book of Mormon with new fresh copies.

To me, it seems a bit disrespectful to put other stuff in the same drawer as a religious book, although I wouldn't have the same reaction if it were on a bookshelf. In the extreme, would you put bikinis, sexy underwear, birth control, sex toys, and porn on top of the Book of Mormon? What about coffee and alcohol, or prescription drugs like antidepressants?

I guess it depends on whether you need to use that drawer. Of course, you could move the book to another drawer or someplace else in the room, but then if you forget to move it back, could the housekeeper report it as missing? I wouldn't want to be billed, nor would I want the hotel to conclude that I had stolen something from my room.
