Yes, the app makes it difficult to take a good picture because there is no button to take it when your ready. It takes it when it thinks it's ready, and in many cases it's not really centered yet.

It says the app is powered by Jumio. Doesn't look like this was tested at all if so many people are having problems.

Amazing how many frequent flyers on my flight to PVG are so annoyed that they had to go trough check in counter because of bugs in the digital verification and it not being user friendly as far as taking the picture. One guy said he tried over 50 times and couldn't get it to work.
