Skywest isn't a subsidiary of DL. They operated the flight on behalf of DL. Skywest also operates flights on behalf of UA and possibly AA. While the plane is done to look like a DL plane, it's owned and maintained by Skywest with work in some cases by DL/UA/AA techs.
