The safety video is a joke.
Once they start on the explanation of how to fasten a seat belt, it of course has everybody put it "ignore". So then they lighten it up with comedy, which is useless for presenting information.
And let us not go into the advertisements that are embedded at the the start by many airlines.
If they want a REAL safety video; cut the fluff, hammer the important points and not how to fasten a seat belt.
So focus less on the item that will be most useful not only in an emergency situation, but also in normal flight (turbulence) and hammer home how to use items that will almost never be used during ones career of flying? BTW, you are giving Joe public FAR too much credit in thinking that all passengers know how to operate a seat belt on an airplane.
