My 2 recent LAX arrivals on UA have been delayed due to no gates. 2 weeks ago we even ended up parked up at the western end of the runway for around 30 mins due to no gates.

You'd have to be crazy to exit from airside as that means being re-screened at TBIT which based on my recent experience and those of others I know is normally taking around 30-45 mins to clear at present.

It took me just over 45 mins the other week to clear around 8pm midweek when the airport was very quiet.
