I don't really see the benefit for the consumer. You might end up with an expensive Y ticket but with no baggage and no flexibility. It effectively means that they can subsume the existing X/G/V/N/R/E/Q/A/S/W/T/L/H/K/U/M/B/Y fares, and then charge more on top of each level in order to make it "Standard" or "Flex".
(They're surely not
reducing prices in any of the X/G/V/N/R/E/Q/A/S/W/T/L/H/K/U/M/B/Y families for Light - right?)
