the Marriott/Ritz/SPG program wld definitely be an attractive option too, and even more particularly in your circumstances.
i find the lifetime option very appealing, and they are another group that offers that, i think that's a big plus in addition to their large footprint.
i think IHG wld be wise to introduce that, to make them competitive with the other major hotel groups.
Lifetime confers more loyalty, a win win for SCH, and their most loyal customers.
