It didn't open last time. Seats went empty on the plane. I can't tell if the ones occupied were regular passengers, or UA employees. Also given where I ended up in business, and facing backwards, I couldn't tell if there was any service provided up front.
To be clear, it was not an upgrade, I would've actually paid for the seat if they'd opened one for me.
I'm not taking a chance any more. If seat wont' clear by morning, I'm just cancelling and taking BA.
And GS desk is puzzled too. They said they're investigating, but it's been a few days and they've had no response from various departments they've supposedly reached out to.
