I booked MCO - YVR for January 6, returning January 14, on the lowest fare available. 3 days later AA sent me an email detailing a schedule change on the return flight, the return flight leaving at 07:00 instead of 07:45. AA let me change to the 08:15 flight on the same day with no charge for the return flight and when i spoke to the AA reservation agent he asked me (and it didn't register with me) if i wanted to change the outbound flight and get rid of the 5 hour layover in PHX. Can i call the platinum desk (lifetime plat.) and will they change the outbound flight to different routing on the same day with no change fee due to the schedule change on the return flight?
