3 earthquakes in 2 days; Florence yesterday, Umbria, Le Marche today
There was a 3.9 earthquake yesterday centered about 15 miles outside of Florence. It didn't seem worth mentioning because Uffizi just said the chandeliers shook, and people reported things falling off of the shelves. And there was continued shaking through the night. But today towns in Umbria and Le Marche were hit with a 5.9 Richter. Not leveled with lots if lives lost so far, but quite damaged, still being assessed. Anyone traveling to Florence, Perugia, etc, might want to keep an eye on this.
