Welcome to Flyertalk and to the BA forum! Flexibility on non flexible tickets has not been offered by BA for many years to be honest. If anything, now that they sell "plus" fares for a small premium, you can get that same day flexibility quite a lot more easily than before if you are on non-stop flights. However, my big frustration is that connecting flights, which many of us need to take and which are typically not any cheaper (often more expensive) than Plus fares are not eligible for the same (and just buying separate plus fares still has a risk as you could no show).
