Will try central ticketing (groups) when they open the the morning. Group desk supervisor says they are the authors of the new policy. If I have no luck with them, Southwest will have lost a lot of good will from someone who buys 150+ RT tickets from them every year.
Are any of the students young enough to not require governement photo ID at the airport? If so, there's your answer.
