Ps: either you notes the flight times wrong or your outbound time is 1h45 and not 1h55.
Like others I would not consider either 'safe' especially at that time of the year. 1 hour delay (not unusual especially if there is snow or frost in Gatwick) on the outbound and you'll miss your QR departure.
