I hate to say it, but anything from Amex travel is junk....we use them at my company, and they are almost universally hated by all the employees - in fact, the dislike increases on a sliding scale according to how much interaction you have with the booking tool or the clueless phone agents.

If the ink on the contract is not dry, dump them quick and sign up with Expedia's corporate product....it is head and shoulders above Amex.

The Amex engine is based on the Sabre 'getanywhere' system - case in point, I know people who work for Sabre who call it "getnowhere".
