I'd rather stay in my main cabin exit row seat than get an upgrade to a bulkhead, but I'd be glad to get any seat in rows 4-6.

I know that I can list my seating preference in my profile as "aisle." Is there a way to add "no bulkhead?"
Thanks
Don't auto-upgrade and you'll be fine. You "aisle" is a preference, it isn't a guarantee you'll get it (but as a plat I do guess it's likely) but if need be they'll place you in a middle seat.

They assume you'd rather be in first than coach or MCE. I think a call to AA telling them of your problem and that you actually don't think a free upgrade to their domestic first is worth it would be very educational for their CEO.
