I found out that I'm going to need to take my dog with me on vacation this year. I will be traveling through Atlanta and will need to stay over night there. I made a reservation at a TownePlace Suite that allows pets. I was informed they want to charge me an extra 150.00 for my dog!?!? As reasonable as that may sound for an extended stay- I think its WAY too much for a one night stay. The room is only 69.00...

I had the plat reservation CSR call the hotel to see if they would come down on the fee... nope.

So I starting looking at the hotels in the area that allowed pets to see what the fees were... the cheapest I found was 50.00 at the Atlanta Airport Marriott (go figure). I had no idea they imposed these kind of fees- from 50 - 300 per stay.

Did they just start doing this? I have traveled with my dog in the past and NEVER been charged a fee.
