Chase creates a separate Ultimate Rewards account for each card. Before you close any card you should use the Combine Points feature to move the points to another card, otherwise they will be lost. If you open a new account you could use Combine Points to move them again (assuming the program rules do not change). The redemption value is based on the account from which they are redeemed, not the account in which they were originally earned.
