F long haul breakfast flights :(

I have the doubtful privilege to be on the 9am to MIA next month and therefore be reacquainted with the ghastly breakfast main meal concept.

Starters:

Fresh orange juice
Mango-passion fruit smoothie
Selection of yoghurts

Fresh seasonal fruit OR
smoked salmon with cream cheese

A 'wide' selection of breakfast pastries (ironic inverted commas mine)

Main:

A traditional mixed grill with fillet steak, Cumberland sausage, Suffolk sweet cured bacon, Portobello mushroom, roast potato wedges and cherry tomatoes with free range scrambled egg

Tomato and chipotle salsa omelette with chunky tomato sauce

Pancakes with mixed berry compote

Bacon bap

Breakfast platter featuring continental meats and cheeses

And that's it. A Bacon Bap for Pete's sake... And as usual for breakfast flights, no dessert or anything. I thought that you usually get at least one "lunchy" option but clearly not this time. And then the second meal will be the ghastly afternoon tea, right? So you can have great food on this flight like - errr... Bacon bap for your first meal and afternoon tea sandwiches for the second. High class stuff really.

Before, the bistro selection would enable you to get some semblance of a normal meal at some point in the flight like having pasta or a curry, but of course, this has long gone leaving passengers with a wholly inadequate food offer.

Does anyone know if any of the special meals provide an actual meal at some point during the flight?
