I have seen this happen many times on low-season flights, including a Delta flight where the Comfort section was full and the rest of Y was 25% occupied. As the flight went on, a few of the Comfort passengers moved back to find a row of 3 for themselves; a few die-hards kept the middle seats they had probably paid over $100 for 😃
