Grinstein has finally realized that bringing in outsiders was a HUGE mistake that was masked over by the late 90s economy. Leo and his whole team were inept at running an airline. Remember his first CFO that came from GE (Warren Jensen) and had medallions moved from First to the back in order to accomodate his son and a friend up front? This shows blantant disrepect for the company and its customers. He was quickly replaced by the "Mr./Ms." Burns who was instrumental in setting up the pension trust funds. They came in and pilfered the company while loading up their bank accounts. They did not care one bit about Delta Airlines or its heritage.
I truly believe that if all of these rodents are run off, DL stands a much better chance of striking a deal with the pilots.
Another great day for all those left picking up the pieces. Good Luck to all the great DL employees that have suffered long enough. It has been nice to see improving morale and attitudes during my travels over the last 6 months. I firmly believe it's because of this top management shake up.
I agree completely. Well said! ^
