Gate 49 is much improved. I remember queuing in that area previously and it was just a nightmare with everyone just rushing to get on the plane and the GAs weren't really paying attention. Zone 5 customers trying to board in Zone 1, Zone 4 and 5 customers lining up in the 3/4/5 line and couldn't let others through, etc. Also a special place in my heart as it's the gate where I had my first eupgrade ever clear!
Absolutely. Kind of why I quickly took a photo of the zone lines.
All of my flights that departed YVR 49 last year were nasty gate experiences as I mentioned.
This was a photo I took in May 2015 where the zone lines were so poorly set up for that gate that there was a line down the corridor towards the MLL.
This week's experience was significantly improved.
