The new police HQ and other development in the area has spoiled the area but it was still all locals even in the early 90s. I think youtube is to blame for the change in atmosphere tbh. Hope that doesn't happen to shimokitazawa.

I love the trolley, used it lots of times. I also like to get a bit further out to Shakuji-koen for the peace and occasionally watch the locals play a game or two of go. Some superb little 4 or 6 seater eateries around there too.
