1. I have asked this question and got contradictory answers. Apparently, multicity on ba.com books into the "standard" fare rather than basic or plus (ie like connecting flights) so does not have same day flexibility. One agent told me they "thought" it might be a mistake when it is an open jaw of two non stop flights and might be eligible but that wasn't confirmed.
