There is a secondary screening before the gate area. While I can't speak to ADD, at FRA there was no issues bringing through a duty-free bottle from JNB that was in my backpack after leaving FRA and coming back.

Is there something specific you're looking to bring? If not, the ADD does have some duty-free options and liquor in the Seychelles isn't horribly priced.
