Unless you do the whole subway to bus or just the bus (125th Street), things can get pricey. Cab ride will run about $33 or so, not sure about Uber or whatever else.
Of course the selection at LGA is most always better than Manhattan, and you can see what you are getting.
As for the manger the guy happened to be working the lot when I got out there. Asked which section was able to choose from and he pretty much told me anything but the "primer" or whatever section. That and the bit about waiving airport fees.
I live in Brooklyn and either i rent from JFK or the Downtown Brooklyn location since the prices are reasonable there. Sometimes LGA is cheaper and i will go there. I get around $55 a day for a full size on the mid size rate at times at the downtown location which isn't bad. As far as travel goes I typically just take the F to Roosevelt Ave and take the Q33 which leaves you right in front of the national location in LGA. Ends up costing $5.50 round trip which isn't terrible. As far as getting to Manhattan I just take 287 to the williamsburg bridge which is free. Granted traffic is always terrible because of the construction but oh well.
