Hi, I'm trying to do something, where I redeem Citi Thankyou Points for 1.6 on American Airlines by using the Citi Thankyou portal, and also be able to use my leftover AA giftcard for the balance. So far I havn't seen a way to do this, as Citi appears to force you to use a credit card to pay the balance of the airfare, with no option for using giftcards. I wonder if there are any ways around this, such as calling in, etc.?
