I would avoid TG, and maybe choose SQ. However, I must direct your attention to SK. SK provides the BEST all around service in C on the short hop, and with CHEAP tickets too (~7500B each way).
Otherwise, AY and CX (oneworld provide better service than SQ and TG on this route), also LX is a pretty good choice, with their new C class.
It is important to note that SK operates an A340, CX operates 747/777 each way, LX operates A340, and AY operates M11. All these aircrafts, except the one way in CX 777, are long haul aircrafts that are much more comfortable than the regional SQ and TG aircrafts.
I would go with SK if I need Star partner.
Connection would be the same, as Domestic BKK and International BKK Terminals are separate, so it doesn't really matter which airline you take.
Also, AY is my favorite airline on this route, for an overall excellence in catering, wine list, and service. The seats are the inter continental J seats, and personally I don't really like the service on LX, but their equipment is very nice (a spanking new Airbus).
