I have convinced MrsMR to join me on a trip to BNE on the weekend of 8/9 May, the prime purpose of which is to watch the Waratahs hopefully beat the Reds for the first time.

QF flights have been booked (QF508 out and QF553 back) but I am seeking help on a couple of other matters:

• Recommendation of a hotel. Not looking for anything to over the top, in fact a smaller, boutique property would probably serve just as well.
• Where is Suncorp Stadium? Is it within walking distance from the city centre?
• Where is a good place to enjoy a sumptuous Sunday lunch?
• Any other recommendations of things to do during a weekend in BNE
