I need to book two domestic segments on JAL, one after arriving in HND on AA, another from NGO-HND. Looking at dates in February, I am able to book a seat for $212 in Y class, or $221 in "J Class".

From reading other reviews, I understand J class doesn't seem to offer more than the equivalent of a Y+ seat, however, I am unable to find specific info on how much baggage I would be entitled to check in. Calling the JAL number in the USA also proved fruitless- the agent with whom I spoke said he wasn't sure. I am OW Emerald- anyone know how many bags I'd be allowed to check in and what the weight limit(s) would be, both for regular economy and J class on domestic Japan flights?

I'll have 1-2 bags of professional equipment- if I am allowed up to 32kg/70lbs per bag, I would take one bag...if only allowed up to 23kg/50lbs per bag, I'd plan on packing two.

Trying to decide what the best value for my domestic Japan legs will be.
