On the way home the flight was "oversold" by 1 person. Some how they decided that I was the lucky one person, so I spent the flight first in the back galley crew jump seat before they moved me to the 1L door jump seat where I was asked to stand up during taxi, so the crew could disarm the doors while the air stairs were rolled up. It was certainly the most unique experience I've had a as a passenger on an aircraft, and of course since it happened on Air Koryo it just makes it all that much better of a story. They were pretty well prepared to put me in the jump seat my boarding pass even printed it out as such.

I had something similar back in '08 though for a different reason. I'm about 6.6ft and simply couldn't fit in the Y seat, so the cabin crew made me sit in the front galley. It's a bit of a faint memory as I wasn't too much into flying at the time, but I remember a wooden table and having to stand up at least 6 times during the flight in order not to impede the service.
Was an Ilyushin if I'm correct.
