I flew Air Koryo J last October from PVG to FNJ and my experience was nothing like yours. We were served the same meal as in Y and the seating was rather tired. Although the freakish cartoons on the IFE were probably my favorite part.

On the way home the flight was "oversold" by 1 person. Some how they decided that I was the lucky one person, so I spent the flight first in the back galley crew jump seat before they moved me to the 1L door jump seat where I was asked to stand up during taxi, so the crew could disarm the doors while the air stairs were rolled up. It was certainly the most unique experience I've had a as a passenger on an aircraft, and of course since it happened on Air Koryo it just makes it all that much better of a story. They were pretty well prepared to put me in the jump seat my boarding pass even printed it out as such.
