I am trying to purchase a one way ticket from PVG via HKG to HKT.
I managed to get as far as the payment screen where you can choose two options. 1: is pay later, and 2: is to pay via a "Union Pay" or "Allipay on card" system. There is no option for normal VISA/Amex/Mastercard
If I choose pay later, it issues me with the booking reference number and says I have 24 hours to pay, and if I go to MMB to pay the same choices above are the only ones available.
Has anyone else had this? Is there a way to pay for this flight with my UK VISA? I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact the origin is China, but surely there should be the standard visa/amex/mastercard choices?
Last year the third party system still work well (beside couldn't pay by Amex). However, when I try to book a HGH dep. ticket on Feb and Aug, no matter you input a HK issued Visa or Master card no., it couldn't let you to finished your payment process.
So my solutions are either call reseveration hotline provide card detail to pay or visit one of their ticketing offices or request a MPC SL/GO/DM member with a China issued card paid for your (show off in a ticketing office or checkin counter for card check is required if not a paid by elite member).
Wish the above info could assist your payment process.
