This afternoon Mrs Clint Bint issued me with instructions to go to my favourite hostelry and drink copious amounts of beer but make sure I was back home on the dot of 5pm.
What awaited me as I returned home was a sumptuous Sunday repast.
Leg of lamb,Yorkshire Pudding,roast potatoes,a selection of vegetables and home-made gravy.
Plus a bottle of Argentinian Malbec called Dadá that knocked my socks off.
As her culinary efforts,which to be honest are never really that good,reached their zenith I used a spare 30 seconds in the kitchen while she went off to the wine cellar to secure another bottle to secret a large dollop of Marmite in the gravy.
Between you and me it made all the difference.Not that I would ever risk the wrath of herself by saying so.
