Westin worth $200 more?

Good thing the Birth Year Rate was available!!!
I stay at this property one or two times a year. I have always had very comfortable, nice sized rooms. I have only been upgraded to a suite once at the property but it seems to be typically at high occupancy so that is understandable. Never had any complaints about the room, comfortable bed, tasteful decoration. Even back 10 years or so ago, before I got elite status I was happy with the rooms I got.

Some have complained about lack of interesting view-scapes. This is true for most all downtown hotels in San Antonio. Very few exciting views.

Wife and family like the buffet breakfast in the downstairs (level below the lobby restaurant).

The location is excellent for walking around river walk and downtown. The property backs onto the river walk, much to the delight of our 5 year old.

Whether this is worth a $200 premium over an airport 4 points will vary from person to person. I have always thought so.

One note, you can self park in the city high rise Parking lot across the street from the property and the hotel staff are happy to facilitate that. Save you $15 on parking if I remember correctly.
