I stayed there early Jan. The hotel is ok, nothing within walking distance. I wouldn't say that the hotel in a bad area (as I wrote we had a rental with us). The lounge is ok and I can confirm that it's not open in the weekend (I think I have reported it on FT after my stay).

There's hardly never upgrade as the hotel only has very few types of rooms.
