You have to use a route that has the premium economy - does SFO-AMS have AF metal or just KLM that doesn't have a separate cabin either? When I search for CDG flights I get PE to come up - and I've booked those AF flights on the DL website.

So when I'm looking at another destination in Europe (eg I went to Lisbon last month) I make sure to exclude AMS as a connection.....
