Flying on an Avios award ticket next week TLV-MAD-RAK.

When booking TLV-RAK it only showed availability in business class from TLV-MAD and then economy to RAK. I ended up booking two separate tickets since in this way it showed economy availability on both. I called the call center then asking them to combine the PNRs since, with a 1 hour connection in MAD, I don't want to get stuck if I miss my flight.

Initially they told me it wasn't possible. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they asked me for the two PNRs telling me to hold for the supervisor. 45 minutes of hold music later they hung up on me.

Any idea what is the best way to get these PNRs combined? Is this just a case of "HUACA"?
