I have YiKaTong for years. IIRC, you can buy that at T3 Airport Express Counter. I definitely remember I returned my friend's YiKaTong at T3 Airport Express Counter about 2010 or 2011.

I thought the machines do not talke RMB1 bills, but RMB1 coins. That was the reason I got my YiKaTong in the first place. Everyone uses RMB1 bills in Beijing except the ticket machines. I don't know if machines accept RMB1 bills now.
