Knowing AF's current state, I don't think we'll be seeing new North American routes anytime soon, especially DEN. If DEN-CDG ever becomes a reality, I have a hunch that it would be one of those oddball routes on DL rather than AF, or KL to AMS. DL has been expanding in DEN slightly and is running ads there for the first time in a while, so I don't think it's completely out of the realm of possibilities.
It has been reported before that DEN regularly tries to court AF to come, but AF regularly declines. From what I remember, the Denver Post reported a while ago that CDG is the most in demand destination not served by a nonstop from DEN, with about ~100 passengers going between DEN and CDG every day. That's not an insignificant number of people, but that would mean a lot of connections would be needed to fill the rest of the plane. That is, until they figure out how to get an E175 across the Atlantic nonstop.
