Same story here. Was an employee I didn't recognize, training a brand new employee, so everything that possibly could be was being enforced, e.g. no rubber banded gift cards. It's been a long time since I had to pull them out of those @#$%!@#$ sleeves, what a PITA.
We dont get the sleeves for the longest time with our regular CSR - always just rubber-banded except with one CSR whom we dont normally see, always insist on those. Today we bumped at her again as our regular CSR had a doctor appointment. This time I asked her to please check with the manager (who had rung us up a few times and in fact on Monday our usual sweet lady was training the manager on how to do our orders - we got the OK to only get 1 sleeve for each person.) So she went inside to ask and got the OK.
Then for whatever reason the POS machine lately tends to get Card Malfunction error. Last time our usual CSR ran the card a couple times and the transaction finally went thru. She told me it was against the rule but since we were regulars she would do it. Today the same thing happened again. This CSR at first adamantly refused to redo it but I once again asked her to please check with the manager, AND she got an OK to rerun the card, too! The condition is, instead of me to insert the card, she would do it then passed the machine over the window for me to continue - Fine with me if that is what they want. Triumph! I hope from now on regardless who is there, it would be business as usual like in the past 2+ years.
