I am flying to CUN with Aeromexico in January and have flown with them before.

You will receive all of the standard Skyteam benefits including lounge access (although the AMEX lounge is probably better in MEX if you can access that.) Be sure to use the dedicated business class check-in zone at MEX, very smooth.

I don't know if you can reserve seats online but you can secure preferred seats on all sectors by calling Aeromexico. Very friendly reps!
