For a couple travelling in economy, clearly the best seats on the plane are the upper deck window/aisle pairs. There are no real disadvantages.
Agreed with all of the above, plus it's much quieter (my A380 experience is SQ and not OZ, but the description sounds identical). It actually kind of feels a bit like ca. 90's era business class with the side storage and AVOD (the AVOD is newer, obviously, but I mean the fact that there is an individual screen, which was a business class feature at the time)
