Yes, two years after introducing this system are where are we:
- AC boarding passed issued by United do not have zone boarding numbers printed on them. There is some number in the upper corner that is usually a double digit number.
- United boarding passes issued by Air Canada do not have zone boarding numbers.
- AC still uses gates at places like Vancouver for wide body aircraft that lack adequate space to do zone boarding.
Perhaps the solution is to move to he Lufthansa solution with automated gates and a free for all.
Is it just me or does anyone feel like a number when they do the zone boarding.
Until ID checks are not required at the gate, the automated gate system isn't going to happen in Canada.
