Courtyard San Diego Gaslamp

Introduction My first time using the hotel review post.  Hopefully this works well.Had a 4 night stay to attend a conference at the convention center.  Decent enough hotel for a Courtyard.  Staff was a stand-out, always helpful and friendly.  Room had a desk-like setup, which was good enough for me, plus a decent task chair. The photo makes the desk look pretty small, but it was adequete for laptop and papers.Plenty of outlets (and USB) at the desk and next to the bed.  Seems like it was recently remodeled or newly opened.  Overall, a decent hotel for the price point.  I saved (the company) about $100 a night when compared to the Marquis. Room No tub, shower only.  Good desk area and chair.  No dresser or drawer for clothes, which I didn't like.  The wardrobe was half open and half enclosed closet.  A shelf at the top, but not really that useful.  They did supply plenty of hangers, which is helpful. Location Great. Location in Gaslamp District.  Easy, short walk to convention center and trolley stop. Dining I didn't have any meals on-site.  There was a Starbucks on property someplace, but it wasn't open when I awoke (early due to my body being on East Coast time).  The front desk clerk was nice enough to provide some additional coffee packs for the room brewer to help me cope.Broken Yolk cafe a block away opened early and was a good choice for Breakfast, since nothing included for plats at Courtyards.Gaslamp area chock full of restaurant and bar choices, all within easy walking distance.  There is a Ralph's grocery store about 6 blocks away as well.
