There isn't much discussion of Pay with Points generally, because airline transfers have typically provided better value at the high end. This could change if it is possible to combine a truly reduced fare with a 50% points refund. It appears this feature applies only to Delta fares. Were the fares you found last night operated by airlines other than Delta or their partners?
