I have been battling with the staff at the DC Marriott Marquis for almost 3 weeks to get an overcharge fixed but haven't had much luck. FYI their computers crashed the day I checked out and even though the Front Desk Manager promised to correct the folio when their systems were restored, it still hasn't been done.
I have contacted Marriott Customer Care and they contacted the property. In response, the Reservation Sales Manager responded and said it will be fixed, but I've been hearing that for weeks.
I have asked 3 different managers to put me in touch with the GM without success. The first 2 said they would pass my message along but then I hear from a different lower-level manager. The 3rd would only say that he didn't control the GM's calendar so he couldn't say if he would return my call.
I know the GM's name and tried
[email protected] but it was returned as undeliverable.
If anyone can provide his email address, I would appreciate it.
On a side note, I have disputed the charge with my credit card issuer. At this point I just want an explanation for why this has taken so long to correct.
By the way, from lurking for almost a year I know I'll probably get criticized for how long this post is (yes, it is my first). On the other hand, I was trying to save people from having to try to provide suggestions for how to get the overcharge fixed.
Thanks in advance for the help.
