Actually, I have rented pickup trucks at KOA with my free days. Not sure the class off the top of my head. They were small/midsize pickups (Nissan Frontier). I cannot speak for reserving fullsize pickups, although I have taken a couple of F150's and a Ram 1500 off the executive aisle in the past.
It won't let me, and I'm EE. In the app it tells me that my coupon cannot be applied to this reservation. I bet it won't let you book it all the way thru.
Edited to add: I just tried a test reservation of a full-size pickup at ELP (shows RAM 1500 quad cab or similar). It took the full value minus $6.54 in fees - so you definitely can rent a full-size pickup on free days as an exec elite.
Try and actually reserve the pickup at that price, and I believe you'll find it will take the coupon value off on the final screen. It shows up for me in the vehicle list as the same price (with taxes/fees) as every other car, but when you actually click through to reserve it, the free day doesn't work. Taking a free day ineligible class off the aisle or getting an upgrade is a whole different story, as the only thing that matters for an EE free day coupon is charged class.
